The Behrend Family Steps Forward After the Palisades Fire
Donation protected
Our family is creating this for my Uncle David and his 3 children, Hugh, Bianca, and Lunden, who have sadly lost their home in the Pacific Palisades fire.
Their house, built by 40-year family friends, Steban and Debbie Coaloa, was a warm and loving home where David raised his wonderful children - a home where everyone was always welcome, milestones were celebrated and a home rich with memories for all.
With the loss of the house, so too were family heirlooms, Judaica items, keepsakes, photo archives, snow gear, clothes, pet supplies and more.
David is a loving father who loves being with his kids and lovable lab, Benji. He and Hugh fought 9 hours to try and save their home as well as both neighbors’ homes, ultimately to no avail. He loved sharing the lighting of the Chanukah candles, especially on the 5th night, the night that the light becomes greater than the darkness, which symbolizes his passion of inspiring and sharing light with everyone. Hugh is at community college and enjoys making intricate Lego models, studying psychology and recently adopted a stray cat named Vanilla. Bianca is in her first year of college and loves to snowboard and spend time with her friends. She recently graduated senior at Fancy Feet dance studio, and was a hostess at Angelini’s during her high school years. Lunden is in 10th grade at Pali High, loves snowboarding, hanging out in the Palisades Village with her friends, and hosting karaoke nights and sleepovers since she was ten.
Many have asked how they can help - this will help them in their steps into the future. If you are unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family and network.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
