Help The Banker Family rebuild after the devestating fire.

UPDATE 07/07/2025. Can you believe it's been 6 months since the fires started?! I've now had the opportunity to visit and see the devestation with my own eyes. Pictures can't truly capture the loss of An Entire Community.
Many of you have reached out asking about the Banker family living situation and about how they are doing. So, I wanted to share a little good news.
I'm happy to share that they have found a BEAUTIFUL craftsman home to live in.
The neighborhood is called Kinney Heights. A really cool historical area with amazing houses. Two of which you may be familiar with are the house from the first two Transformer Movies as well as the house they used as the funeral home in the Netflix show Six Feet Under.
The only downside is that it's next to a busy street. It took a while for them to get used to the traffic noise at night. Thank goodness for sound machines!
I have to give cuddos to John. He's done an amazing job of finding beautiful furniture. He's REALLY good at that.
Amy has been busy with stocking the house with everything they need from appliances to ziplock bags. There is still So Much they are working to replace.
Shopping isn't as much fun when you have to replace EVERYTHING.
All in all, it's taken a bit of getting used to.
They REALLY miss all the shops they frequented in The Palisades. There were so many one of a kind places. For example ,the Mom and Pop Pharmacy where the owners knew their customers, and Ronny's which was a little convenience store Dylan and her friends liked to go to after school for treats.
(I hear it is scheduled to reopen in Feb 2035)
Even if theyhad been able to find a new home nearby, as you can see by the reopen date of Ronny's, it is going to take the community YEARS to rebuild.
There will be underlying grief for a long time. Losing your home and everything in it is bad enough. Having your entire community destroyed and having friends and neighbors scattered is something I pray no one else has to experience.
My heart especially aches for Dylan because ALL the places she has ever lived, her schools, and the places she loved in her community are gone.
THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to their GoFund Me and/or for keeping them in your prayers.
The road to recovering from this type of tragedy is a bumpy one and your support has been deeply appreciated.

UPDATE: 01/28/25. On Monday, Amy, John and Dylan (my sister, brother-in-law, and niece went back to what once had been home to see what they might salvage from the ashes. As you can see, there really isn't anything left.
Amy highly recommends you get all your videos and photos digitized ASAP!
They are still trying to find a new place to live while juggling everything they need to do to create their new normal. As you can imagine, it's been overwhelming.
Thank you for all the comforting words, prayers and contributions. When Amy gets her head above water she will be reaching out.
Your support during this unbelievably difficult time is greatly appreciated.

Original share:
My sister, Amy, and her family lost everything in the Pacific Palisades, California fire. Thankfully, they are all safe, but they have a long journey for recovery ahead of them.
They just learned the house and all the contents are gone, so the first order of business is getting essentials like clothing, toiletries, and food. Then they can begin to decide where to live. Once that's figured out, they can begin getting everything needed to set up house. It makes my brain hurt just thinking about all they will need to do.
My niece was supposed to start back to school on January 14th, but the school is gone. She is in her senior year. Not only did they lose their home, they've lost their entire community. If you would like to help in their recovery efforts, please consider making a donation. Prayers are also deeply appreciated.
Thank you, Debra
