We are the B Family, we are local in Maryland we have always been the kind to never ask for help we've always helped others and gave to others. I feel its time that I ask for help for us.

For the past 12 years, we’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. But for the past 18 months, we’ve quietly carried the heartache of trying — and struggling — to grow our family.

Our desire to have a child together has never wavered, but the road to parenthood has not been easy. Due to a complex medical condition requiring life-saving medications, pregnancy is not safe for us. While testing confirmed that fertility is NOT the issue, the reality is that carrying a pregnancy would put my life at risk — a risk we simply cannot take.

This truth has been one of the most painful parts of our journey. Knowing that the love we have and the child we dream of is within reach — yet just out of reach — has taken an emotional toll we can’t put into words.

Thankfully, there is hope. We have been blessed to connect with a kind and compassionate surrogate — someone we trust deeply, and who is willing to carry our baby for a significantly lower cost than most. Even so, the total estimated expense for IVF, legal fees, medical costs, travel, and the surrogacy process is expected to fall between $80,000 and $95,000.

Asking for help is not easy. But this dream — holding our baby in our arms, sharing lullabies and first steps, and building the family we’ve longed for — is one we cannot achieve alone.
