Update: Early this morning on November 25th, my father lost his battle with cancer.

My name is Julie Jesso. I am raising funds for my father, William (Bill) Ayers, and my mother, Brenda Ayers. My father was diagnosed with colon cancer in April 2023. He started radiation and chemo right away. When the tumor shrank small enough to remove it, he had the surgery and had the cancer removed. That meant a temporary colostomy bag. The cancer in his colon was successfully removed. The next set of scans unfortunately showed it had already spread to his lungs and his brain. He started chemo treatments for his lungs and radiation for his brain. Then he had to have emergency surgery to have a really bad hernia repaired. After that, things seemed like they were getting better until they weren't. The cancer spread again, this time to his bones, in his spine. The cancer is now throughout his body. It's in his brain, lungs, and bones. The chemo has made him very sick every time he was on it. They decided to stop the treatments so he can live the rest of his time comfortably. Hospice is now coming to their house to help my mom take care of him. My sister suddenly passed away last year, leaving behind 2 teenage boys. My mom and dad have custody of the boys with no assistance from their father. My dad doesn't have life insurance, so I'm asking for any help that anybody can give so we can give him a proper service when the time comes. This can also help my mom and the boys with some things they may need. He and my mom have always opened their home to not only their grandsons and daughters and families when needed but also to so many other family members and friends throughout the years when they needed a place to stay.
