Help The Ault Family Get a Home

Meet the Ault family. For years they have been coming to my shows and various shows around the community. We have grown to take them on as family. Erica is the matriarch of this large brood. She takes care of everyone, including her several grandchildren. In November she made a call to the city of Columbus to file a complaint about her residence after trying to have her landlord fix some things. Upon investigation the city deemed the residence uninhabitable and basically Erica and her large clan were forced into the streets where they have been living in their car for the past 2 months. Erica makes sure all the older kids are taken to school every day while she keeps the younger ones with her. School is the only time the older kids are offered a warm place and hot meal. Erica and her family have to keep their car gassed at all times in order to even have heat in these cold winter months often finding a place to park for the night and sleeping. She has reached out to various organizations for help including shelters and to no avail as she has 2 dogs and does not have legal custody of her grandchildren whom she keeps. In order to obtain it she has to provide a residence. So as you can see this family seems to be caught in a never ending circle of NO. Last weekend one of her precious doggies died in the car of a seizure and Erica threw together what little money she had to cremate her. Erica also had to quit her job as a Lyft driver because of the situation. The children living in the car are ages 3, 5, 11, 13, 15, 16, and 18....so obviously they are cramped and need our help. This account is to help them with a few months rent. If we can get a roof over their heads they can pick up the pieces and get out of this horrible situation. Any little bit helps.
