We are writing on behalf of our dear friends, Louis and Victoria Arocho, a loving family from Mahopac, NY who have just experienced a heartbreaking tragedy.

A devastating house fire destroyed their home completely. In a matter of minutes, everything they owned was gone. Louis and Victoria were able to escape with their lives and their two young daughters, ages 4 and 2, but they left with only the clothes they were wearing. They didn’t have time to grab shoes, personal belongings, important documents, or anything else from their home.

Louis serves as a youth pastor and minister at Hopewell Reformed Church in Hopewell Junction, where he spent his time supporting and caring for others in the community.

While we are incredibly grateful that the family made it out safely, the fire also took the life of their beloved dog, Charlie, who sadly could not be rescued in time. The loss has been absolutely devastating for the entire family.

Right now, Louis, Victoria, and their little girls are trying to process this unimaginable loss while figuring out how to start over.

We are raising funds to help them with immediate needs, including:

• Temporary housing

• Food and daily essentials

• Clothing and shoes

• Replacing basic necessities for their daughters

• Beginning the long process of rebuilding their lives
