Tax deductible
Hi everyone! My name is G. Goddard Rothblatt, and I have an urgent ask for your support.
On September 11, 2025, our nonprofit experienced an unexpected kitchen fire that forced us to close our doors temporarily. Thankfully, no one was hurt—but the damage left behind has been overwhelming for our small staff.
Our insurance will cover part of the restoration, but it does not cover everything. We’re left with:
$2,000 deductible we must pay up front
Loss of revenue from being closed
Specialized cleaning costs for smoke and contents, which aren’t included in our policy
Together, these unexpected expenses create a heavy burden for an organization of our size.
We’re reaching out to our community of friends, neighbors, and supporters to ask for your help. Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
✅ Covering the $2,000 deductible
✅ Offsetting lost income while we were forced to close
✅ Paying for the cleaning and restoration of our kitchen and contents
With your support, we can recover quickly, reopen our doors, and continue: TO PRESERVE THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES' SPACE PROGRAM; TO HONOR OUR NATION'S ASTRONAUTS AND AEROSPACE INNOVATORS; TO EDUCATE CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS ABOUT THE SACRIFICE AND COOPERATION NECESSARY TO BUILD THE EARLY SPACE PROGRAM; TO INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF SCIENTISTS, INNOVATORS, AND EXPLORERS WHO WILL TAKE OUR NATION, AND THE WORLD, IN NEW AND EXCITING DIRECTIONS.
No gift is too small—truly, every contribution brings us closer to recovery. Just as importantly, sharing this campaign with your network helps us reach new supporters who care about keeping our nonprofit alive and thriving.
From all of us at the US Space Walk of Fame Foundation: thank you for standing with us in this difficult time. Your generosity helps turn a moment of crisis into a story of resilience.
