Hi, we're Michael and Miranda Ambrosia. We're asking for help to finish our family's home before winter and to cover basic needs while Michael's health keeps him from working.

We've been married 13 years, and we live on a small homestead in rural northeast Missouri with our four children, Jordan, David, Lydia, and Hannah, along with our goats, sheep, guineas, and chickens. Michael's dad also lives with us, and we help care for him too.

Michael is a veteran. Since 2020 he has lived with a migraine that is there every day, around the clock. There were better stretches along the way, but this past year it has gotten much worse. Often he wakes up in the middle of the night, sometimes at three in the morning, in severe pain that stays with him all day, and even his lighter days are hard. Since this summer he has also had serious digestive problems that limit what he can eat. Between the constant pain, brain fog, poor sleep, and very low energy, he can't work or do sustained physical labor, and most days he has only one or two good hours. Still, he pushes through to provide for our family and take care of things as best he can.

Because of this, we have no source of income right now, and covering basic needs for our family has become a daily struggle.

Where we are with the house

With help from loved ones, we got the outer post-frame shell of our home built, and it already has its own solar power system. The inside still has to be finished before we can live in it, and winter is coming. Until then, we're living in a travel trailer on the property.

How your gift will be used

Our goal is $31,100:
- About $18,000 for interior building materials: insulation, drywall, plumbing, and basic flooring.
- About $12,000 for basic living expenses, like food and household necessities, for the next six months while we keep working on the house step by step.

Every gift helps, even $5 or $10. When many people give a little, it adds up.

Other ways to help

If you can't give right now, your prayers and sharing this page mean the world to us. Sharing helps us reach people we could never reach on our own. And if you live nearby and have real carpentry or construction experience, we would be grateful for hands-on help. The next jobs are mounting the solar panels on the veranda and building the front porch overhang. After that, we need to set the doors in place so they no longer leak and insulate around them. Then come the air intakes for the home, installing electrical outlets inside and out, and hooking up the plumbing for the water heater and the radiant floor heat.

To follow along with our progress, you can find regular updates on Michael's YouTube channel: youtube.com/@michaelambrosia

If you've already helped us, thank you. Please don't feel you need to give again. Your prayers and sharing are more than enough.

Our faith carries us through every hard day. We have seen God provide again and again, often through the kindness of people like you. Thank you for standing with our family.

With gratitude,
Michael, Miranda, and the kids
