Yesterday around 7:45 PM, I got a call from my dad telling me their house in Oceanside, NY was on fire. The fire started upstairs and seeped into the first floor. Thankfully, my family safely made it out in time. My parents bought this house over 20 years ago, and my dad has worked endless days and nights, making it the house they always wanted.

While nothing can bring back the sentimental belongings, these funds will help my parents get some clothes, food and items back that are needed for the day-to-day.
