Tyndall Federal Credit Union and Abide United Methodist Church are organizing this fundraiser for the Ackerman Family following a devastating house fire that destroyed their home and belongings. Thankfully, the family is safe, but they are now facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding. Making this loss even more difficult, the Ackermans also lost their home in 2018 following Hurricane Michael. Angie Ackerman has been a dedicated member of the Tyndall Federal Credit Union team for nearly 30 years, and both Angie and Chris Ackerman are well known throughout the community for lives centered on serving, supporting, and showing up for others.

The Ackerman Family has touched many lives, and this fundraiser is an opportunity for friends, coworkers, and members of the community to surround them with that same care during an incredibly difficult time. Donations will assist with immediate needs, including temporary housing, clothing, and replacing everyday essentials lost in the fire. They will also help with veterinary expenses for the family’s three pets, who suffered smoke inhalation and are receiving care. Any contribution, regardless of size, will make a meaningful difference as the family begins to recover.
