Help the AbuSabah Family Rebuild their Lives

Dear friends, my name is Hanan Hadeed, I’m a UK citizen organising this fundraiser on behalf of the AbuSabah family who are urgently looking to evacuate Gaza to safety.

AbuSabah is the family of my dear Palestinian friend Ghalia who has asked me to assist her in setting up this fundraiser. Ghalia is trying to get her two brothers, their wives and their children out of Gaza and to safety. They are in total 13 family members.

The AbuSabah family have been displaced several times within Gaza in search of safety. Their homes have been completely demolished, their livelihoods destroyed, and their survival is under constant threat due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes, sniper attacks, and limited access to food and water.

They hold Palestinian passports, not dual citizenships, so they are required to pay a crossing permit fee of $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child to secure their exit from Rafah Crossing to Egypt. They will also need help for travel expenses, temporary housing and other essentials to ensure their safe escape and transfer.

Please donate whatever you can so we can evacuate them to safety asap. Every donation no matter how small can help towards this goal.

As soon as the funds are raised I will personally travel to Egypt with my friend Ghalia to ensure the fees are paid and the permits needed to evacuate them are issued. The funds will be allocated to cover the family’s crossing fees from Gaza to Egypt as well as their temporary stay in Egypt for a few months until they are able to find another place to go. If -for whatever reason- the permits are refused or we are not successful in getting them out of Gaza, your donations will be refunded.

Palestinians are a proud people who normally do not ask for help and do their utmost best to be self-sufficient, in spite of all the injustices of occupation and Israeli state violence perpetrated against them. I insisted on helping the AbuSabah family with this fundraiser because I saw there was no other way they could afford to evacuate to safety.
