Dear, Friends of Asian American Youth Council,
It is our pleasure to announce that we are hosting the first annual Hanbok Day celebration. Through this
exciting celebration, as well as the many other events that we have planned this year, the Asian American
Youth Council will strive to expand its programs in order to better serve the community.
We hope that you will be able to take part in one or more of the many exciting events that we are offering this
year and that you will also experience firsthand the pride we take in supporting our cause.
In order to meet our mission and serve our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we wouldn't be able to serve those in our community each year. We ask that you consider making a commitment to support our annual appeal by making a donation.
Your support is imperative to the success of the events that are hosted by the Asian American Youth Council,
and your support would be much appreciated. We thank you in advance for your interest and support for this
event.

In New Jersey, in 2017, after a teacher said “I hate Koreans.” six times in class, the founder, Brian Jon, complained to the Department of Education. He then decided to take matters into his own hands and collected 1,500 signatures in support of his disapproval of this teacher and this resulted in the dismissal said teacher. He says, "Feeling the seriousness of not having a voice, I formed a group with Korean students." As of 2021, this has grown into a large organization with members in five states and Korea.
