My name is Thaer Tayseer Faraj, and I live in Gaza, Palestine. I am a father to four young daughters:

Areen (7 years old) – suffers from a chronic eye disease and urgently needs surgery.

Souline (5 years old) – struggles with trauma after losing her home and toys, and suffers from skin diseases.

Roudine (3 years old) – suffers from malnutrition due to lack of food and clean water.

Oline – a newborn, just 3 weeks old, suffering from lack of milk, diapers, and hygiene products.

Before the war, we lived a peaceful life filled with love, safety, and dreams of a bright future for our children. But everything changed overnight…

Our home was bombed in the early days of the war and completely destroyed — along with all our furniture, clothes, toys, and my university books and research that I had collected over many years. Our farmland was also bulldozed, and the olive and fig trees we had nurtured for years were uprooted from the roots.

Today, we are displaced, living in tents with no walls or roof to protect us from the burning summer heat or the freezing winter cold. We have lost our sense of security, and fear has become part of our daily life. We keep moving from one place to another, searching for even the most basic needs to survive.

My children are growing up in war without education, without enough food, and without the childhood every child deserves.

My wife, who suffers from anemia, gave birth to our youngest daughter via C-section under extremely harsh conditions. She is still in pain and cannot get the proper medical care she needs.

I am now unemployed, not by choice, but because the war has destroyed all opportunities to work. I can no longer provide the basics — food, clean water, medicine, or even a mattress to sleep on.

This campaign is not just about rebuilding a house — it’s about rebuilding a life.

It’s about giving my daughters a chance to feel safe again, to live with dignity, and to restore hope in the midst of despair.
