Help Tetia Brown Return Home to Family

Hello everyone,
For all seeing this, my name is Leona Brown. I am a 29-year US Army Combat Veteran. I never thought that I would be setting up a GoFundMe page, but here I am trying to get my sister, Tetia Brown, who is also a US Army Combat Veteran (Air Assault), back home to the East Coast (DMV) to be with and surrounded by family.
Imagine getting a call from your mother at the beginning of the new year that your sister received an abnormal read on her routine mammogram. We had been here before. I've had numerous scares myself. I was there for Tetia's last biopsy. But this; this was different. There was a deep urgency in my mother's voice. She is a Breast Cancer survivor as well. I rushed to be by my sister's side. The biopsy was completed. The results were in. TNBC Triple Negative. The deadliest and most aggressive form of breast cancer. We had a feeling, but we were hoping beyond hope. Needless to say, 2024 came in like a wrecking ball. Not how you would want to start the new year, is it?
So, for the last year and a half, the Brown family has been journeying through the ups and downs of fighting this deadly and hideous disease. Surgical oncology appointments, second opinions, multiple doctor's appointments. Tears cried, sleepless nights, various forms of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and above all, scared as hell of the possible outcome.
It is now June 2025. I've been with my sister on the West Coast (California) through this entire journey. Now it's time to get my sister home. Unfortunately, with all the expenses of the past year and a half, the move has turned out to be more than I or my sister can handle. We felt ashamed even thinking of doing a GoFundMe, but we said we would give it a try.
Would you be so kind as to help my sister Tetia get back home so that she can be surrounded by love and support as she continues this journey? There's still a lot of hurdles to attack, but being around family makes it more palatable. And having the finances to move back across the country would lessen the load and decrease stress (which she doesn't need).
Let's help Tetia continue to be #BrownStrong.
Thank you.
