HEY IT'S US, tristan and tess.
We have been trying to facilitate a move out of Texas for a while -- especially in recent years, as you can probably imagine. Legally-speaking, things have only been getting worse here in Texas (Trans journalist Erin Reed ranks only Texas and Florida as having the worst trans-related laws in the union as of the end of August).
But: we're finally moving to a safer state, thanks to a housing opportunity offered to us.
We will be heading out in mid-November to a new home somewhere in Maryland, but I still haven't gotten a job so our budget is very tight. Although I won't be renting a van or trailer, moving is still expensive, especially a 1500-mile, multi-day, roadtrip-style move like this!
If you're able to contribute anything to help us out, we would greatly appreciate it.
Funds will go firstly towards things like:
- moving supplies (boxes, bins,
- gas money,
- food money for the trip, and
- hotel rooms (we will need at least one along the way).
... and anything left over will go towards things like:
- cheap furniture to replace what we couldn't bring, and
- living expenses while I continue my job hunt.
