<div>We have been trying to facilitate a move out of Texas for a while -- especially in recent years, as you can probably imagine. Legally-speaking, things have only been getting worse here in Texas (<a href="https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/anti-trans-national-legal-risk-assessment" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Trans journalist Erin Reed</a> ranks only Texas and Florida as having the worst trans-related laws in the union as of the end of August).

<div><strong>But: we're finally moving to a safer state, thanks to a housing opportunity offered to us.</strong>

<div>We will be heading out in mid-November to a new home somewhere in Maryland, but I still haven't gotten a job so our budget is very tight. Although I won't be renting a van or trailer, moving is still expensive, especially a 1500-mile, multi-day, roadtrip-style move like this!
