Hey, as most of you know I am Tesla, Juliana’s mommy I am a single mother of 3. Javyn, Juliana & Jace. We are experiencing a very rough time financially as I am self employed so I am reaching out for help.

On May 26th, 2024 we took Juliana to the ER for what we thought was a stomach bug. After CT scans we found out she needed to have emergency surgery because her appendix ruptured. Juliana has always been a healthy child, no allergies, hardly ever getting sick, so we were shocked.

We really aren’t sure when her appendix ruptured, but due to all of the toxic waste that was leaking from her intestines she became septic. Sepsis is life threatening. Once infection gets into your bloodstream your body begins to shut down. We are so blessed to have caught it when we did!

Juliana is still being hospitalized with no current out date. We still have a very long way to go. She has had several surgeries and procedures to help her body heal. She currently has a large incision on her stomach where they removed her appendix, and also placed a wound vac over to help drain that bacteria and infection. She has been on ventilators, oxygen, they have placed a drain in her stomach twice now because her gut is very sick and several cysts have formed. She also has a temporary colostomy bag because there are a few holes in her intestines that need time to heal. The infection is still active and she is still spiking fevers here and there. It’s all a day by day basis, some days are better than others for sure. She has begun eating small meals but sometimes she has a very hard time keeping things down so she is still on fluids, fats, and proteins through a central IV line. The best news is she hasn’t lost any weight and she is breathing completely on her own again!!

She spent 2 weeks in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and has been on a regular unit for a week now, and progressing everyday! In the beginning we had family helping with keeping her company up at the hospital and I was able to take care of my clients, but the visits are getting shorter and shorter. Juliana is only 7 years old I would never leave her up at this hospital alone.

Due to lack of help and support I am losing business left and right. I don’t have the support to be here for Juliana and also run a solo cleaning business. I currently service 3-4 clients a week because I am only getting 2 days to figure it out. My boys are suffering and going from house to house because they are not allowed to stay at the hospital with us.

Everything I have worked hard for is starting to fall apart. On top of issues with my vehicle because I hit a deer (it still drives, but I won’t be dropping it off to the service department until we are home or I wouldn’t have a way to be up here with her) We are approximately 1 hour from our home and this makes life very difficult. I am asking for donations to help ME financially, to allow me to be here for Juliana so she isn’t alone, and also pay sitters for my sons and our bills. In the beginning I did receive $400 from our facebook community and I asked to stop sending donations because I thought we’d be going home soon. But as the days continue to go by, I continue to lose more clients (which is understandable they have been very understanding but also have their own lives to accommodate) and my credit cards are maxed out. Once we are back home I will also be with her 24/7 changing her wound dressing, colostomy bag, giving meds and more than likely homeschooling her because I am afraid of her being bullied for having the colostomy bag (if you know, you know.)

We are very thankful for everyone who purchased from her amazon wish list, sent money, prayed for us, or just reached out to see if she is okay. She does physical therapy once a day, she’s getting up to use the bathroom on her own, respiratory therapists come in every 4 hours to give her breathing treatments and do breathing tests, she gets CT scans and blood cultures done every 3 days, her wound vac and ostomy bag are changed every other day, so they are taking very very great care of her but this process isn’t anything we can rush just to be home. I want to give her as much time as she needs to heal but also provide as much love and comfort as I can because I am the main person she wants up here. Anytime I leave she is bawling her eyes out and waking up all night crying for me. I will do whatever I need to do for my kids but right now they need me more than ever, so going to work full time like I have done since I was 16 years old just isn’t an option.

Anything will help us during this time and it will definitely get poured back into the world when I am able again!!

Gas cards and guest meal tickets would be very helpful as well.
