Help Terra James Defend Herself and Protect Her Adoptive Family
My name is Terra James, and I am the proud adoptive parent of the three siblings. I opened my home and heart to these children, believing they deserved stability, safety, and love. Despite serious concerns about their behavioral and emotional struggles, I finalized the adoption because I wanted to give them the permanency and family they desperately needed.
Unfortunately, after the adoption was finalized, my children began facing overwhelming challenges. The deep trauma they had experienced became increasingly unmanageable for them, and despite my best efforts, there were very limited resources or support available for them and for me to navigate their crisis. I did everything within my power to help them navigate their pain.
Now, in the most painful turn of events, I am facing false allegations of abuse made against me by my children. These accusations are the result of deep-rooted trauma and manipulation, not truth. Still, they have led to legal charges that threaten my ability to protect and care for the very children I fought so hard to adopt.
I love my children and want to see them heal, but I cannot fight this battle alone. I need a strong legal defense to clear my name, protect my rights as a parent, and ensure my children finally receive the appropriate care and services they should have had from the beginning.
Attorney fees and legal costs are overwhelming, especially as a single parent already stretched thin by the emotional and financial demands of raising children with complex needs. That’s why I am asking for your help. Every donation will go directly toward legal representation so I can continue fighting for justice—for myself and for my family’s future.
If you cannot donate, please share this campaign with others who may be able to support. I am grateful for any help you can provide during this incredibly difficult time.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with me. Your support means hope, strength, and a chance to move forward for me and the Fuller siblings.
— Terra James
