My name is Teresa, and I’m reaching out because I’m in a really difficult place and could truly use some help.

I’ve lived in my mobile home for 12 years now. It’s from the 1970s, and it’s literally falling apart around me. This winter, I went without a working heater. Last summer, I had no air conditioner. And now, on top of everything else, a pipe has burst in my home—causing water damage to my floor—and I currently have no running water.

My heater and AC units aren’t even worth fixing or replacing anymore. My home is too old to qualify for insurance, and putting money into major repairs would be throwing it into something that’s already beyond saving.

The wiring throughout the entire house needs to be replaced. The breaker box is outdated and unsafe. All of the water lines are original galvanized steel, and they’re rusty and corroded—which is why pipes keep failing. Every major system in this trailer is at the end of its life.

I work and do everything I can to stay afloat, but I don’t make enough to save money—let alone handle emergencies like this. Everything just keeps breaking one after the other. I’m exhausted from constantly living in survival mode.

My biggest motivation to keep going is my three cats and my dog. They’ve lived here with me their whole lives, and I just want a safe, decent home for them too. They still have a long life ahead of them, and they deserve stability and comfort just as much as I do.

My goal is to raise enough to replace this trailer with a newer one and put it on the same lot. That also means I have to have my current trailer torn down and removed before anything new can be put in its place—which is another major cost I can’t handle on my own.

I’m not asking for luxury—just a safe, stable home with working heat, water, and basic comfort. With a newer trailer, I’d finally be able to get homeowners insurance, something I can’t qualify for now. That means real security for the first time—knowing my home is protected instead of constantly being one emergency away from disaster.

Any funds raised will go directly toward:

• Replacing my current trailer

• Tearing down and removing the old one

• Setup and utility connections

• Creating a safe, livable home
