Support Teresa Munoz: A Selfless Caregiver in Need After the Eaton Wildfire

We’re reaching out to ask for your support for our incredible colleague and friend, Teresa Munoz. Teresa, a dedicated Medical Assistant at AltaMed for over 9 years, has always been someone who gives her all to others. Tragically, her family lost their home in the recent Eaton Wildfire, and now, it’s our turn to give back to someone who has given so much to the community.

Teresa’s story is one of unwavering compassion and service. As a Medical Assistant at AltaMed, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Los Angeles, she has chosen to dedicate her career to caring for the city’s most vulnerable populations. Despite the potential for higher compensation at large hospitals like Cedars-Sinai or USC, Teresa remains committed to serving those who need it most. Her work isn’t just a job—it’s a calling, and she fulfills it with kindness, generosity, and leadership every day.

Whether it's comforting patients during difficult moments, supporting her coworkers, or going above and beyond to help families in need, Teresa consistently leads by example. She embodies what it means to serve with a full heart and has touched countless lives through her work and her acts of kindness. Now, after her family losing their home, she faces an immense challenge—and we can’t think of anyone more deserving of our help.
