My name is Teresa, and for the past 15 months, I have been homeless. I am a 68-year-old disabled senior citizen, and these months have been the hardest of my life. I have been staying in my car and moving from couch to couch, doing my best to get by while searching for a stable place to live. Recently, I was told by an apartment manager that I will have an apartment in January, which gives me hope. But right now, I was told I have to leave my current place by the 19th of this month, and I have nowhere else to go.

The cold weather has made things even more difficult, especially because I am on oxygen and need a safe, warm place to stay. The funds from this fundraiser will help me get a room for the next few weeks until my apartment is ready. This support will mean everything to me as I try to stay healthy and safe during this challenging time.

I have prayed over this decision to ask for help, and I am sharing my story because many people don’t know what I am going through. I am so grateful for the support I have received from my family, my special nephew Chris, and friends who have helped me along the way.
