Help Tenika Recover and Support Her Kids After Tragic Shooting

On July 5th, at what was supposed to be a peaceful community event — “Peace in the Hood” — our dear friend Tenika was tragically shot in the knee, leaving her with a broken femur. What was meant to be a night of unity ended in violence, leaving her facing multiple surgeries, followed by a long road of rehab and therapy.

Tenika is a strong, hardworking single mother of two, and anyone who knows her will tell you: she’s the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without thinking twice. Now, she needs our help. With her recovery ahead, she won’t be able to work for a while. But life doesn’t pause — bills still need to be paid, and her two children start school in August.

We’re asking our community to come together and support Tenika during this difficult time. Any amount you can give — big or small — will go directly toward helping her and her children stay afloat while she focuses on healing.
