The teens at our summer camp are facing a summer without the chance to join their peers on exciting field trips. While the city covers the cost for students 12 and under, our teens are left out unless their families can pay out of pocket. For many, this simply isn’t possible, and it means missing out on experiences that could shape their lives for years to come.


Field trips to places like Hansen Dam, Wild Rivers, LA Zoo, Raging Waters, Spo-Cha, and Cabrillo Aquarium and Beach aren’t just about having fun—they’re about giving these teens opportunities to explore, learn, and build friendships that can last into adulthood. For some, these trips might be the only chance they have to visit these places, and the memories they make could stay with them forever.


We understand that money plays a big role in lifestyles and the way children perceive life, but signs of poverty shouldn’t be the reason these kids miss out.
