It was brought to our attention a profoundly distressing situation involving a recently deceased mom and her two children, who are 18 and graduated from high school this Spring. Mom had been sick for many yrs and relied on disability to support the twins through high school. The son had a job but lost it due to his mom being in the hospital. Daughter was caring for mom so didn’t have a job. Tragically, mom passed away leaving her children ineligible to receive her income. Mom did not have any life insurance. Unfortunately , the children do not have any aunts, uncles, or grandparents to support them through this difficult and scary time. They are completely alone with no adult guidance. Mom worked very hard to purchase a house for the family. The house is over 50% paid off. However, without income or transportation, they are at risk of losing their family home and facing homelessness. We want to give the twins enough time to get on their feet. We want to make sure they do not lose the house their mom worked hard to keep for them. They are beautiful, intelligent, level headed teens. We want to give them a strong start so they can be successful. We want to give them time to grieve and then support them as they look for employment and further their education as they wish. Setting them up for long term success. The money donated will allow us to pay on and hopefully off the mortgage. All money will go to cover their home expenses of mortgage and utilities.
