Help Teen Parents Stay in School by Providing Free Childcare
Teen parents who once had priority access to Arkansas’s daycare vouchers are now being placed on the waitlist. They no longer have a waitlist exemption under the state’s School Readiness Assistance program. They may wait up to 12 months and, if assistance still has not become available, must reapply to remain on the list.
For a teen parent who needs childcare to attend school, that wait can determine whether they stay in school.
Conway Cradle Care has chosen to help fill that gap. We provide childcare at no cost to the teen parents we serve so their children have dependable care while they attend school. We have staffed classrooms ready to care for these children, and we need community support to pay the people who make that care possible.
We are raising $45,697.27—the projected amount still needed to pay classroom staff for the 2026–2027 school year.
This goal is based on our current staffing and tuition projections. It covers classroom wages for this school year only, not payroll taxes or other operating expenses.
Please help us keep childcare within reach for young parents working toward graduation.
Every young family deserves a village.
