Mark Stratton of Sunnyvale, CA is competing in his first Iron Dog, racing alongside his lifelong friend and teammate Craig Conner, whom he’s known since 1st grade. The two have spent their lives pushing each other through countless adventures, making this race a natural extension of their shared drive. Adding to the family strength, Mark’s father, Mark Stratton Sr., who spends part of the year in Funny River, AK, will also be part of the 2026 team effort.

Team ‘Trail Brothers’ is proud to partner with the Healthy Teen Project, the Monterey Bay Search Dogs, and the Goldengate Kooiker Kennel, bringing awareness and support to causes they deeply believe in.

The Iron Dog is a 2,500-mile snowmobile race from Wasilla, Alaska, just a little north of Anchorage, all the way to Nome and then finishes in Fairbanks. The teams will face a variety of terrain, weather conditions, and extreme temperatures. In the past, there have been -50 below zero temperatures recorded on the racecourse!

Projected cost to participate in this fantastic event will be approximately $100,000. We will need each and every donation that we can come up with and the support of all our friends and families.
