Håfa Adai and Tirow,
We are LAM organizers - NGO from Saipan, and as the sponsoring party of the LAM Softball Team, we were preparing to send Team LAM to represent our organization for the very first time at the Labor Day festivities in Portland—together with our players. This was more than just a trip—it was a meaningful milestone. Many of our members committed their time, energy, and even stepped away from other teams to come together and build something new as one.
Unfortunately, due to the impact of Super Typhoon Sinlaku, and the financial, logistical, and personal challenges now affecting several of our members, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our participation this year. Our focus at this time is recovery, stability, and preparing for a stronger return next year.
Rather than moving forward with a partial team or splitting the group, we chose unity—to regroup and come back next year as the original Team LAM we set out to build.
We are deeply grateful for every player who committed to this journey with us. In light of this unexpected change, we are raising funds to support each team member with essential needs during this time of transition.
Our goal is to raise $7,000, which will be distributed equally—$500 per player—to help ease the burden brought on by the storm’s devastation.
Any support, encouragement, or simply sharing this message means so much to us. This is not the end—just a pause. We will return stronger, together, and more united than ever.
Thank you for believing in Team LAM.
