Hi, my name is Ben, and I’m an amateur strongman and proud member of Fortis Strength — a Care in the Community gym that’s been running since March 2025.

We may be a new organisation, but we’ve already built something truly special — a place where people from all walks of life come together to train, grow stronger, and support one another both inside and outside the gym.

Unfortunately, our current premises are due to be demolished, leaving us without a home. We’re now urgently raising funds to secure a new permanent space and to add a few essential pieces of equipment so our members can continue to train safely and effectively.

At Fortis Strength, we believe strength training changes lives. Our members include people of all ages and abilities — from complete beginners to experienced lifters — and everyone is welcomed with open arms. For many, this gym is more than just a place to train; it’s a lifeline, a community, and a source of belonging.

Every single donation, no matter the amount, will help us:

• Replace and upgrade essential equipment
