Help Team ASAP compete at the World Championship in Houston

Donation protected
This season, Team ASAP Robotics from Raymond, Alberta, Canada earned an incredible opportunity. After months of designing, building, coding, and testing our robot, we won the Alberta Provincial Championship and received the Inspire Award, the highest honor in FIRST Tech Challenge.

The Inspire Award recognizes the team that best represents the ideals of FIRST. It celebrates excellence in robot design, engineering, programming, teamwork, community outreach, and inspiring others in STEM. Winning this award means our team demonstrated success not only on the competition field, but also in innovation, collaboration, and impact in our community.

Because of these achievements, we have been invited to compete at the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston, Texas (April 29 – May 2, 2026) — the highest level of competition in FTC robotics.

This season there are 8,618 FTC teams worldwide, including 106 teams here in Alberta. Only 336 teams from 66 countries will compete at the World Championship, and our team is honored to represent Canada on that stage.

This is especially exciting because this will be our second year in a row competing at the World Championship. Returning to Worlds is an incredible achievement and gives our team the opportunity to build on the experience we gained last year while competing against the best teams from around the globe.

Why we need help

Getting to the World Championship is an amazing opportunity for our students, but it also comes with significant costs. Our team must raise funds to cover:
World Championship registration fees
Flights from Alberta to Houston
Hotel accommodations
Transportation and meals
Robot parts and competition materials

What FTC robotics means to us

FIRST Tech Challenge is about much more than building a robot. Through this program, students develop real-world skills in:
Engineering and programming
Problem solving and innovation
Leadership and teamwork
Communication and outreach

Our team has spent hundreds of hours designing, building, coding, and testing our robot this season. Winning Provincials and the Inspire Award was the result of months of dedication, creativity, and teamwork.

Now we have the chance to represent Canada on the world stage and compete alongside some of the most innovative student robotics teams in the world.

Corporate sponsors

We are also seeking corporate sponsors to help support our journey to the World Championship. Sponsorship helps students gain access to hands-on STEM education while representing our community at an international competition.

Businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities can find more details on our website: https://www.asaprobotics.ca

How you can help

Every donation — big or small — helps our team get one step closer to Houston.

If you would prefer to donate directly, we also accept e-transfers. See details on our website: https://www.asaprobotics.ca

If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign with friends, family, or local businesses can make a huge difference.

Thank you for supporting Team ASAP Robotics as we represent Canada at the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship!
