Teacher Matt Wood is making a profound difference in the lives of his 112 students, most of whom come from Spanish-speaking, low-income families. With 80% of his students receiving free lunch, Matt has dedicated his life to providing them with opportunities they would otherwise never have.

Through the power of music, Matt teaches his students to dream bigger. Thanks to partnerships with organizations like the Met Opera, he has been able to take his students to see live opera performances at his local AMC theater, an experience that has not only inspired them but also kept them off the streets and opened their eyes to a world of possibility.

This year, Matt is hoping to give the same life-changing opportunity to 50 more of his students. We are raising funds to cover the cost of tickets so that these students can attend a Met Opera performance and experience the magic of live art.
