TCD is a small dance school based in the Highlands of Scotland. At a recent competition in January we received the most incredible results which included bids for both the mini and junior lyrical teams to dance at the European Summit competition in Lisbon this June against some of the best teams in Europe.

This is the first time any of our teams have ever received bids as they are only given to the highest scoring teams in each category at certain competitions so its come as a very welcome but huge shock!

We now have to raise funds for approximately 23 dancers plus their 2 coaches for flights, accommodation and entry fees to this competition. we estimate this will cost approximately £1000 per person which adds up to an eyewatering £25000.

Why do we think this will be so beneficial to the girls, the dance team and to Tain?

Many of our dancers have never left Scotland before, they have never been on a plane or abroad. To be able to experience these things alone is a huge milestone but to be able to do them right beside their dance friends and family is huge.

This is a once in a lifetime experience for the teams, TCD has been running for over 30 years and this is the first time ever we have qualified for Europe.

Some of our dancers are young carers, some have additional needs, some have complex family dynamics and many simply couldn't afford this experience without financial help. Due to the unexpected nature of the bids and short time scale we are now appealing for help to make the girls dream come true.
