Taylor’s Story

Taylor has over 100 days clean and sober from heroin, crystal meth, fentanyl, and alcohol. She is 8 months pregnant and actively engaged in recovery. Taylor’s journey is one of courage, accountability, and grace. After years of addiction, she chose recovery.

Today, she participates in an Intensive Outpatient Program, follows medical guidance, and lives in sober housing. She is showing up daily and doing the work required to build a different future for herself and her child.

Taylor does currently have housing arranged for the immediate period after her baby is born. However, that housing is time-limited. Once her allotted days expire, she will no longer be able to remain there.

Without support, she faces a gap in stable housing during the early postpartum months, a time when stability is critical for both mother and baby.

Taylor is married. Her husband is currently in South Dakota caring for their young child under the age of two, which is why he is not physically present in California at this time. This separation is a matter of circumstance, not abandonment.

Taylor is also a survivor of sex trafficking in Sioux Falls. This history contributes to the complexity of her recovery, but it does not define her. What defines her today is her commitment to sobriety, accountability, and motherhood.

This fundraiser exists to provide a short-term stability bridge so Taylor can remain sober, housed, and focused on welcoming her baby safely while continuing her recovery.

 How Funds Will Be Used-
Funds will support: • Childbirth and medical-related expenses • Temporary postpartum housing once current housing expires • Basic living and baby essentials • Continued recovery and counseling support ⸻ Fundraising Goal: $18,000 This goal provides a short-term stability bridge during approximately the first 90 days after birth. ⸻

 Integrity & Transparency Statement:
This fundraiser is intentionally transparent. Recovery is built on honesty, accountability, and responsibility, and we believe financial support should follow those same principles. The details shared here are included to provide clarity, not to sensationalize hardship.

Taylor is actively engaged in recovery, following medical and program guidance, and taking responsibility for her life and her children. This support is not a rescue; it is a short-term stability bridge designed to reduce risk during a critical transition so recovery and motherhood can continue with dignity and integrity. —
