On late Sunday evening, Taylor and Logan faced every pet owner’s worst nightmare. Their sweet Nala, who first seemed to just have an upset stomach, quickly declined into a life-threatening emergency.

After hours of vomiting, her heart rate skyrocketed. What they thought might pass on its own turned into a terrifying race to the vet. Within minutes of arriving at urgent care, Nala’s condition became critical, and she was rushed into emergency surgery for a stomach blockage caused by swallowing the stuffing from a toy.

Thanks to the incredible team at Arise Veterinary Hospital, Nala made it through surgery and is now in the ICU under 24/7 care, being closely monitored as she recovers. The vets expressed how serious her condition was, and Taylor’s quick decision to take her in quite literally saved her life.
