Help TAYA and IULIIA with their new life in Canada
Donation protected
Hi friends and friends of friends!
We recently welcomed some newcomers to Canada into our home. Taya is 19 and her mother Ullia is 46. As so many have recently, they had to leave their home in Ukraine suddenly and without warning. Their home is no longer standing. There were only able to take a few belongings. Their father and husband stayed to volunteer in the war effort. Their friends and family have scattered across the world. They are slowly learning about Toronto and Canada and life here and figuring out the next steps. They are both actively seeking jobs and a more permanent place to live. (Taya studies economics and tutors high-level math. Her English is very good. Her mother is a brilliant biologist who also works in medical specialty sales and has accounting skills as well; she does not speak English).
They picked Canada over other parts of Europe because it is safe and has a great reputation...but it is not inexpensive. In order to make good decisions, they need time and a safe and clean place to live. I ask you to donate as much or as little as you can it all helps. No amount is too small. All money raised goes directly to them. It will be spent on securing a first and last month's rent, clothing, supplies, English lessons, transportation cost, medical insurance and everything they need to start a new life in a new country for an indefinite amount of time. They are so very grateful and can't believe how Canada has welcomed them.
