Hi, my name is Tashika, and I am a mother doing everything I can to keep my son safe and stable. My son and I are currently in between housing due to a family domestic violence situation that forced us to leave our previous living environment for our safety. This sudden change created an unexpected financial hardship. At this time, we are actively working to secure permanent housing and are in the process of completing applications and taking the necessary steps toward moving into a safe and stable home.

While we work through this process, we urgently need help covering the cost of a hotel so my son and I have a safe place to stay. This has been an especially difficult and emotional time for us, as my son’s birthday is coming up around Christmas. What should be a joyful season has become very stressful, and my main focus is making sure he feels safe, loved, and cared for despite everything we are facing.

This is a temporary situation, but the gap between now and securing housing has created an emergency I cannot manage alone. I am doing everything possible to move forward while keeping my son’s needs and safety first. Funds raised will go directly toward hotel costs, food, and essential daily needs during this transition period.
