Hi everyone,

My name is Majdolin Ashour I live in the Netherlands, and I created this GoFundMe to support my cousin, Tariq Abuhassanein, a young man from Gaza who has endured unimaginable hardship. Tariq’s life has been marked by immense loss and resilience. Before the ongoing genocide in Gaza, he lost his father in 2007. During the Gaza genocide, his home and future university were destroyed, and many of his friends were tragically killed in the bombings. Recently, he and his family sought refuge in Egypt, fleeing the devastation.

Despite everything, Tariq remains determined to rebuild his life. His dream is to study Data Science, a field he believes will empower him to contribute to the development of his community and bring hope to others facing similar struggles. Unfortunately, he was unable to pursue this dream in Palestine due to the occupation and constant disruptions.

Tariq has been accepted into a prestigious five-year program abroad, but the tuition fee of €8,000 is an insurmountable obstacle for his family. Their financial situation is dire, as they’ve lost everything and are still recovering from the trauma of displacement.

Why This Goal Matters

Education is Tariq’s path to healing and hope. Studying Data Science will not only transform his future but also allow him to support his family and give back to his community. His story is one of resilience and determination, and by helping Tariq, you’re not just supporting an individual—you’re investing in a brighter future for an entire generation that has faced unimaginable loss.

How the Funds Will Be Used

The €8,000 will go directly toward covering Tariq’s tuition fees for the five-year program. Once this amount is paid in full, his enrollment will be secured, and he will finally be able to start his education.

How Tariq Will Receive the Money

All donations collected will be transferred directly to the university to ensure the funds are used exclusively for his tuition. I will oversee the process and provide updates to all donors to maintain transparency and accountability
