Help Tara and Glenn Grow Their Family

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but sometimes, it takes a village to make one, too.
We are Glenn and Tara, and we are 1 in 8. Over the past four years, we have struggled with unexplained infertility, a medical condition in which we have a 1% chance of ever conceiving naturally.
We never imagined it would be so hard to grow our family. In our four-year journey, we have tried:
-seven doctors
-one medicated + timed cycle
-two medicated IUIs (intrauterine insemination)
-one laparoscopic surgery with an Endometriosis diagnosis
-holistic care including acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, and other therapies
-countless tests, procedures, and natural attempts
After recommendations from our team of reproductive endocrinologists, we are turning to IVF this fall.
Although insured, our insurance company has not covered fertility treatments and will not cover the huge financial costs of IVF. To date, we have spent over $20,000 on fertility-related care. Our expected costs for one round of IVF (including all the required procedures and one frozen embryo transfer) is approximately $30,000.
Along with the emotional heartbreak and devastation that infertility brings, we have been facing these financial hurdles to try to grow our family. We have worked incredibly hard to get through these difficulties, but the costs of IVF (and adoption) are immense. We have applied to numerous grants over the years, to no avail, so it is with our hearts in our hands that we turn to our village of friends and family to ask for help. ♥
For every donation, we will write your name on a wooden heart that will be framed and displayed in our baby's room. The hearts signify the love, support, and generosity that was given to help us become parents and bring our babies home. Any contribution is hugely appreciated, and it brings us one step closer to starting our family.
IVF Breakdown
IVF Procedure: $14,650
Anesthesia: $400
PGT/PGD - Embryo Biopsy: $180 (per embryo)
Medications: $4,000 - $8,000
Blastomere Analysis (PGT/PGD): $200 - $5,000
Doctor Follow-Ups: $50 (cost per visit with insurance)
Saline/HSG: $846 (hopefully a portion will be covered by insurance)
Semen Analysis: $148.50 (hopefully a portion will be covered by insurance)
Other Needed Medical Testing + Procedures: TBD
HCG tests + OB Scans: $120- $450 (hopefully a portion will be covered by insurance)
Embryo Storage: $525 (billed annually)
Fertility Acupuncture: $500 (estimated)
Fertility Supplements: $60 - $130 (monthly)
