My name is Tannethia, and I’m reaching out for help during a very difficult time for my family. After relocating to build a better future, I fell behind on my car payments and recently lost my vehicle to repossession. Without my car, I can’t continue my DoorDash work, which has been our main source of income for covering hotel stays and food. Right now, my family and I are living in a hotel, and I’m doing everything I can to keep us from becoming homeless.

I have a 22-year-old daughter with a traumatic brain injury who needs daily care, and a 14-year-old son who’s trying to enjoy his summer despite our challenges. I just passed my state exam and will be starting a new job as a licensed health and life agent on Monday. Having a car is essential—not only for getting to work and visiting clients, but also for making sure my daughter can attend her day program and my son can participate in summer activities.
