Let me start by saying, “I have a story to tell you about a beautiful family that could really use some help.” 

A few years ago, my daughter Sydney got involved in the Big Sister program while she was still living back in Western New York. She was paired with a sweet little girl named Ta’Naye. Ta’Naye has 2 sisters, a brother, a fantastic Mom and an incredible Dad! She also has a new baby sister due any day now!

This little girl has brought more to our family than we could ever have given to her. Watching her grow into a beautiful young lady, with the help of her Mom and Dad has been something to see. Especially when they have to do it in not the easiest of conditions.

Well, Mom is due any day now and guess what happened? Their only car that the family relies on, a well worn SUV that can hold the family, broke down on the side of the road last night. We scrambled to get them a AAA membership last night to get the car towed home. Now we need to get it fixed!

Please help us get them back on the road! It is crucial that we get them a car that is sound and reliable, to go to the Doctor's, the grocery store, work and school.

All of you Dads out there know what it’s like when your daughters need something and they are far away. Ta’Naye’s mom, Tracey is like my daughter and could really use a team of Dads to help her out!
