Help for a HealthCare Professional who has helped others.
Sometimes the people who take care of us, need to be taken care of. Today is one of those days.
Tammy Van Vlerah is a Nurse who recently took a position at a local Medical Group as a Clinical Nurse Advocate , she contracted Covid-19. We all know our healthcare workers are at risk most while at work.
At the time of this post, she has suffered through some very significant symptoms for over a month, and is still going through testing for side effects of Covid, with no date to return to work. Her significant other, Redd, whom she lives with, was also diagnosed with Covid soon after Tammy was made aware of hers. Sadly, he has now been hospitalized for 3 weeks. She had no PTO time or sick time available.
With the very minimal Pandemic Covid unemployment pay & the possibility of that ending, and Tammy being ineligible for short term disability, they are struggling.
Any help you can contribute would be so greatly appreciated, as well as continued prayers.
Although the doctors are hopeful Redd will be released by Christmas, they are fearful he won’t be, it’s a slow recovery.
Tammy and family members have “visited” the parking lot to see Redd through the 4th floor windows of his room and have been able to FaceTime. But as you all know, they have not been able to see him or hug him for weeks.
Yes there are many tears, yes there are many prayers.
Now we’d like to help them financially, so that they don’t lose even more.
I’m including several ways to donate if you are able, and prayers are working, so keep them coming PLEASE!
