Hi, my name is Angel, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my amazing mother, Tamekia Hilderbrand, who is currently battling stage 1 breast cancer while also facing the threat of eviction from her home.

In July 2025, my mother discovered a lump in her breast. After undergoing a biopsy, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has since consulted multiple doctors, and both confirmed that surgery is urgently needed to determine her next steps — whether that includes chemotherapy, radiation, or possibly oral medication.

But as she fights for her health, we’re also fighting to keep a roof over her head.

Over the last few months, travel costs to and from medical appointments have exceeded $1,700, and between co-pays and other bills, it has become nearly impossible to keep up with rent. She is now three months behind and has received a notice of eviction.

The landlord has offered one chance: if we can pay the full back rent by October 3rd, he will cancel the eviction and renew her lease. But with everything going on — physically, emotionally, and financially — we simply cannot meet this deadline alone.

What We’re Asking For:

We’re hoping to raise $15,000 to help cover:

Back rent and avoid eviction (Urgent!)

Transportation to and from appointments

Medical bills and copays

Living expenses during recovery

Potential relocation costs, if needed

Tamekia is one of the strongest people I know. She’s trying to fight this illness while facing the unbearable stress of losing her home. Any amount — no matter how small — would mean the world to us.
