My name is Tamara, and I’m raising funds to help my family get back on the road after our car was totaled in a hit and run. Thankfully, my injuries were minor, but losing our only vehicle has made it impossible for me to work and provide for my three kids, ages 17, 15, and 9. Without reliable transportation, I can’t get to my job or take my children to school and their activities.
After the accident, I learned that the other vehicle involved was stolen, so their insurance denied my claim. I only had liability coverage, which means my own insurance couldn’t help with the damages. Now, I’m left with a large loan for a car I can’t use. I tried to keep things going by renting a vehicle, but unfortunately, that car broke down and the owner had to take it back for repairs.
My daughter is involved in cheerleading, which means we need to travel 30-40 minutes each week for her games. Not having a car has made it extremely difficult to keep up with her schedule and support her passion. The funds raised will go directly toward a down payment on a reliable car, so I can return to work, support my kids, and make sure we don’t miss out on important opportunities. We also live in Las Vegas where it is currently 109 degrees nearly all summer.
