We are three sisters, and today we want to share about our youngest, Talhia. She is the most loving and caring person you will ever meet and she is a devoted believer in Christ. She is an incredible wife and mom of two beautiful little daughters, 7 and 9 years old. Having her children has been her biggest joy in life.
Sadly, we lost our mom 13 years ago to breast cancer, and we couldn't need her more right now...
It is with a heavy heart that we share that Talhia was recently diagnosed with very aggressive breast cancer. In the blink of an eye her whole world has been flipped upside down and she has found herself in a fight for her life. Talhia's family means the world to her. Her little girls rely on her everyday, and having their normal routine be affected in this way, especially knowing how much more is to come, has been heartbreaking. She has been told that this journey is going to be tough. Lots of tests and procedures have already been done, and there are many more are to come. She is to undergo chemotherapy as soon as possible in an effort to shrink the tumor, and get it out of her lymph nodes. She will then face surgery. Talhia was told about all of the side effects of chemotherapy and surgery. She is going through so many emotions and life changes. Talhia is feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and scared, and she hasn't even begun the treatments yet. She recently found the courage to cut her hair short, as she emotionally prepares to lose all of it. We wish we could take the stress away from her...
We want you all to know that Talhia has a strong and supportive family, and she is grateful for her many friends who also support and love her. We are reaching out to all of you for help so that Talhia can rest, and not stress about all of the medical bills coming in. Talhia will be taking some time off work for a while, doctors orders. We are asking for donations to help with the flood of medical bills, treatment-related costs, healthy opportunities for Talhia so she can stay strong, her daughters’ needs, and the many changes this devastating diagnosis will bring. Any amount is appreciated and will help Talhia heal and be less stressed about finances. We will keep you updated along her journey. We fully believe she will beat this, and your support means the world to all of us. If you are unable to give financially, Talhia has one request- please pray for her. We thank you for reading Talhia's story.
