Help Taleigha-Rose Achieve Her Bucket List ❤️❤️
I’ve known Taleigha-Rose for over 7 years. We first met Taleigha-Rose when her younger brother joined the same footy team as our son. Taleigha-Rose was always the one to help look after my other boys whilst I got to watch snippets of the game, and was always such a big help whenever I needed. It was an absolute shock for me when I found out of Taleigha-Roses diagnosis with Mixed Phenotype Accute Leukemia (MPAL). She was a healthy 15 year old girl who had to pull out of her netball grand (which she had been preparing for all season), as she physically unwell and unable to play. After going to the hospital from the pain, Taleigha-Rose was diagnosed, and her life changed forever. Taleigha-Rose is a girl of many talents, and would be known from the netball court, the eistedford , her younger brothers footy games and everywhere else in between. However, her life has changed drastically over the past 9 months, and she’s had to put doing the things she loves on hold while she fights the biggest battle yet.
After receiving news of her diagnosis, Taleigha-Rose and her family were required to relocate to a stay home closer to the hospital so she could immediately begin treatment. Taleigha-Rose has doctors completely scratching their heads with the side affects she has faced at the hands of the intense chemotherapy (stage interim maintenance 2 ), like loss of mobility, loss of vision and recent blood clots within her lungs. Despite these mind-baffling illnesses Taleigha-Rose is facing, she still fights with such will and determination everyday. However, she is missing out on doing the everyday things like completing year 10 at school, playing netball, dancing, getting a job, buying her first car etc. Taleigha-Rose and her family have been so strong throughout the past 9 months and I am an absolute awe of their strength. Kelly, Will, and her younger brother Cohan never fail to amaze me with the support they shower her with everyday. They are such a giving family, and now it’s time to give back to this brilliant young girl.
Taleigha-Rose has spent her life dancing on the stage, and now she is fighting from a different stage. So, let’s get behind Taleigha-Rose and help her complete her bucket list, and get her first car !!
