Hi, The Ankeny Klothing Exchange (TAKE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Ankeny, IA that provides free clothing and household goods to individuals and families in need. TAKE was founded in 1992 by a group of concerned community members and has grown to serve over 23,000 individuals and families annually from all over central Iowa. TAKE is committed to helping every person who comes to its doors regardless of residence, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or economic. TAKE is 100% volunteer run – TAKE has no paid staff. All financial donations help cover operational expenses of this critically needed community service.

TAKE’s current lease has been terminated at the end of this year and a permanent TAKE home has been located, subject to financing. To make this a reality, TAKE needs to raise $300,000 in the next 60 days to cover a down payment, refurbishing costs and moving expenses! We need YOU, friends, to help us meet this goal and to provide permanency for this important non-profit community organization. TAKE is counting on your continued support to give it a permanent home in Ankeny! If TAKE’s goal for a downpayment is not reached during the time frame noted above, donations may be used for continued operational expenses to search for a new home.
