Help Taco Dan and Family

Greetings, Family and Friends,

Back in February of this year, after suffering with severe headaches almost his whole life, my dad was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancerous brain tumour. He was offered surgery and had to make a very difficult decision. To have surgery posed many risks. Not to have surgery meant he would only have a few weeks left to live and wouldn’t get to see his first grandchild. After much prayer, counselling, and careful consideration of his options, he made the decision to go ahead with the surgery.

The mostly successful operation resulted in the partial removal of the tumour. After a little over a month of recovery, he was well enough to travel and hold his first grandchild...a little boy.

Unfortunately the tumour began to regrow very quickly, and his time without pain was short, leaving him mostly paralyzed and in need of constant care within a few months of the operation.

Now that Dad is completely bedridden and Mom is taking care of him full time, they are dealing with a lot of financial stress as Dad has been unable to work for the past year.

Although most of the medical procedures have been covered by health insurance, the lack of ability to work and the cost of living has caused an accumulation of debt.

With the agreement of my family, I want to give an opportunity to any who might have a desire to help bear their financial burden.

Dan has a big heart, and many of us have been recipients of his generosity, whether in his trucking days or during his time running the famous Dan’s Taco Wagon.
