My name is Suzan and I am a single mom, not yet a survivor of abuse, but I am trying so hard. For years, I endured pain and hardship in silence, but I finally found the courage to break free—for myself and, most importantly, for my two amazing 9 & 7-year-old children. We want to start over from nothing, and while it’s been the hardest decision of my life, it’s also the bravest.

As a single mom, every day is a fight to give my children the safety, love, and stability they deserve. I am still trying to leave behind everything in order to escape the cycle of abuse. I just want to be emotionally safe, and my situation is getting harder and harder. The reality is that starting over has put us in a very vulnerable position.

Right now, we urgently need help with:

• Safe housing.

I can't afford to buy a house or rent even though I am working a full-time job. I thought if I buy a house with help from this platform, that would help me and my kids live a stable life, not keep moving from place to place. We are just so tired from an unstable life. I've been trying so hard to find a place to live for me and my children, so I can get out of the cycle of abuse that I am living in, but it seems impossible to find housing. I have applied for housing assistance, but the waiting list is between 3-5 years if I am lucky.

I am not asking for a handout—I am asking for a hand up. Any amount you can give will directly help us rebuild our lives with dignity and hope. Even sharing our story means the world to us.
