Running Costs of Children's Hostel

URGENT APPEAL

Today, we face an immediate financial crisis. The Academy of Hope Foster Home in India urgently requires £2000 to cover three month's operational costs. These funds are crucial to ensure that 12 children under our care continue to receive the shelter, essential utilities, nutritious meals, warm clothing, comfortable bedding and the dedicated live-in caregivers they need. Additionally, these funds will support after-school tutoring and essential support for these children.

BACKGROUND

In 2016, during his studies in India, Caleb Jude Packham, a dedicated yoga teacher, encountered a close-knit community of families struggling to make ends meet in the midst of slum dwellings. Their unwavering spirit and resilience in the face of adversity deeply moved Caleb, inspiring him to embark on a heartfelt mission: to provide these children with the gift of education, breaking the chains of poverty that bound them.

In 2017, Caleb initiated a heartfelt fundraising endeavour, known as the Academy of Hope, which saw twelve children enrolled in the Sanskar International School, in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. This endeavor wouldn't be possible without the consistent support of an annual fundraising campaign dedicated to ensuring the children's continued access to education.

In 2021, the Academy of Hope Foster Home was established—a sanctuary that offers not only a safe haven but also nourishment and compassionate guardians to guide these children through their formative years. However, the impact of the pandemic has left many of these children without parents, who, driven by economic hardships, had to relocate to other regions in search of employment, leaving their cherished offspring behind.

Today, we find ourselves facing an urgent financial challenge. We have run short of funds to cover this month's operational costs for our foster home—£600 is desperately needed to ensure these children continue to receive the care and support they deserve.
