Help Sustain Bard Prep

My name is Rinchen Posel. I am from Saugerties, New York. I play the piano and violin, and I compose. I have been studying music at Bard Conservatory Prep Division since I was 6, and I turned 12 last month. This September, I will be joining the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music in the U.K. and continuing my music study there.

 

It takes a village to raise a child, and to me, Bard Prep is my village. Being the only musician from a family with humble means, my classical music education has been possible because of Bard Prep and its supporters. Without Bard Prep, I would not have become the young classical musician I am today, and a step closer to actualizing my dreams of becoming a concert pianist and composer.

 

Bard Prep provides invaluable classical music education to kids in the Hudson Valley area, and it needs your help to ensure sustainability of operations. Tuition does not cover the program's costs, and over the years, it has not been easy to keep the program running.

 

Due to pandemic restrictions, Bard Prep could not hold any fundraising events for 2.5 years, and its reserves are drying out. As a result, it needs new avenues to raise much-needed funds.

 

My mom and I created this fundraising campaign because we want to help ensure the continuity of Bard Prep, a vital place for young classical musicians in the area.
