Hello, I’m Krystal (Sue’s Daughter)

I’m setting this up for my mom’s ice cream truck.

Well I’m sure a lot of you already heard what happened in waunakee today. A beautiful day turned pretty awful when my truck started on fire and burned to a crisp. I got out ok and managed to go back 3 times to get my purse iPad and money before the cab caught fire. It went pretty up fast. Unfortunately insurance money is not going to cover a whole new (used) truck and all of the things it will need to get it going. This is also my source of income that I will no longer have until we can get a new truck going. We are hoping between insurance and fundraisers I can find another truck. The outpouring of love from my customers so far has been amazing. Lots of people were around and lots of kids. I feel so bad for them to see something they loved so much burn up in front of their eyes. You just don’t see that everyday. I hope they aren’t traumatized by this.

This will not keep me down…I will work on finding something else and hopefully be back before you know it. Thank you to the firefighters and police on the scene.

A huge thank you to the lady who called 911 and told them where we were. To the lady whose yard we stood in during the fire and the lady who brought us sodas. Thank you all. And thank you Ernie’s Kettle Corn for the second bag of kettle corn because my first bag got burned up too. Thank you to all my customers who patronized my truck for the last 6 years. It’s been a super fun ride and I’ll be back.
